Our story

Carmelina and Frasquito

This house bears their names because it was their home. And because Oscar wants everyone who comes to be looked after the way they looked after him.

Grandparents, and parents too

Carmelina and Frasquito were Oscar’s grandparents, but they raised him as their own son. They were exemplary grandparents: hard-working, and modern for their time.

The house and the door

The house stands on the Plaza de la Constitución, next to the fountain that gives the village its name, and it has centuries of history. This is where Carmelina and Frasquito lived.

Today their names are painted in front of the door. It is the first thing you see when you arrive, and that is no accident: the B&B is as much theirs as it is Oscar’s.

Your host

Oscar

Oscar prepared the house with care in every detail, from the decoration to what you find when you arrive. He speaks Spanish and English, and he is always on hand for whatever you need during your stay.

He learnt his idea of hospitality in this very house.

I want you to feel as if you were staying with your grandparents, looked after just as Carmelina and Frasquito would have done.

Their legacy

Their names, in the village too

Carmelina and Frasquito’s names are not only on this door. Some plots of land that belonged to Frasquito, near the part of the village known as La Noria, have become the Carmelina y Frasquito housing development.

Almost all the plots now have owners, and the homes are being built. New families are starting their lives in Fuente de Piedra on land that was once theirs.

Come and see their house

The door with their names is waiting for you on the square.
